After I graduated the Master Fashion Designer Programme at Istituto Marangoni in London, and had been working as an intern under Hussein Chalayan at Puma and Alexander McQueen at McQ I decided to move back home to Aland Islands to slow down and focus on creating sustainable fashion.

In august 2010 I started Labelled Fashion Recycling studio with the simple idea to redesign old garments and materials into high quality fashion for women.  I want to inspire people and awe them with creativity. Old seat belts become handbags, a couple of curtains become a dress and an old leather jacket become eyewear cases.

Labelled is about celebrating sustainability and time, and to breath life into the old.

Since April 2016 Labelled clothing is sold in the combined café and crafts shop Viktor Crafts & Design situated on Torggatan 15 in Mariehamn, Åland. The shop is owned by Linda and her crafts collegues Annika Åkerfelt (silver jewellery) and Inger Nygård (knitwear and café manager).  Viktor Crafts & Design is a place where you can take a moment and feel inspired as you sip on a cup of coffee with a home baked pastry and enjoy all the locally produced creativity around you.

Sincerely,
Linda Karlsson
